Installation of Ground Gas Protection Measures  - Construction Training Event

The training event is intensive and interactive and focuses on best practice based on National Occupational Standards and the latest CIRIA C735 guidance on installation and verification of gas protection measures.

Neil Salvidge - PAGeotechnical Training Manager and NVQ Assessor

Neil has an extensive and comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry. Having qualified as carpenter in the 1980s, he worked nationally and internationally for many multidiscipline contractors

Neil’s experience in project management, site procedures and developing installation methods enabled him to be at the forefront of developing methods for gas membrane installation which had become a new feature on construction projects in the 1990s.   

Neil became the first Gas Membrane Assessor in the UK, of which there are currently only three.

As an educationalist, Neil delivers a variety of training events nationally and internationally and has been integral in the development of the Gas Membrane NVQ, the Gas Membrane Installation Specialist Upskilling Programme and the Validation Protocol for technicians.

Attendees will be provided with all materials for the practical sessions. All specialists tooling (heat guns, rollers, scissors etc.) will be provided.Important Note: Attendees who wish to provide their own heat guns and hand tools must ensure that appliances have a valid PAT certificate with a visible PAT label attached.The training course is not part of any NVQ. However, routes towards an NVQ Level 2 qualification will be discussed.
